Flow Elements

Electronet series Venturi is the second most common differential pressure primary element. It is based on proven technology. It has no moving parts and is suitable for high temperature and pressure applications. Venturi tubes offer advantages including an extremely low pressure loss, a higher durability and a lower chance of catching a sludge media and sediment than other throttle elements. The Venturi tube is mostly used for measurements of flow wherever a minimal loss of pressure is important. The major advantage of the Venturi over orifice plates and flow nozzles is in the area of pressure recovery. Typically unrecovered pressure is in the region of 10 - 30% of measured DP as opposed to 40 - 90% for an orifice plate (depending onbeta ratio).

Electronet series orifice plate is the most common differential pressure primary flow element. It is based on proven technology. It has no moving parts and is suitable for high temperature and pressure applications. Orifice plates are recommended for clean liquids, gases and low velocity steam flows. Flow measurement using orifice plates requires the accurate location of up stream and downstream pressure tapping. Various types of orifice carrier assemblies are available to suit a wide range of applications.

Electronet series Integral orifice plate assembly is integrally mounted with the measuring instrument. It is compact and complete flow meter device without need of impulse piping. The assembly includes integral orifice plate, bodies, stud, nut & gasket bodies with socket weld or threaded end connections are available IOPA with upstream & downstream piping with flanged ends are also available.

Electronet series Orifice flanges are intended for use instead of standard pipe flanges when an orifice plate or flow nozzle must be installed. Pairs of pressure tapping are machined into the orifice flange, making separate orifice carriers or tapping in the pipe wall unnecessary. The range of orifice flanges covers all standard sizes and ranges, and all common flange materials. Flanges are available in socket weld or weld neck form, and are typically supplied with two and half NPT tapping in each flange. Jacking screws to ensure ease of removal of the primary flow element are provided. Orifice flanges are supplied complete with bolting and gasket kits.
